During its glory days in the 1960's and 1970's, Pontiac sponsored television shows via product placement. Having the show's stars drive some of their best models, or giving away the cars as game show prizes, enabled the viewing public to imagine they were behind the wheel. The goal, of course, was to get them in to the Pontiac showroom. Come along as we explore some of the great TV Pontiacs from that era.

MY THREE SONS

My Three Sons was a sitcom that ran from 1960 to 1972. The plot revolved around a widower named Steven Douglas (Fred MacMurray) raising his three sons,  Mike, Robbie and Chip. All of them drove Pontiacs in the show (once the sons reached driving age) and other Pontiacs were placed in the show as well.

I DREAM OF JEANNIE

I Dream of Jeannie was a sitcom built on the plot that astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) finds a Genie in a bottle (Barbara Eden) who grants his every wish. The series ran from 1965 to 1970. In the show Tony, his coworker Roger and his boss, Dr. Bellows, all drive new Pontiacs, mostly convertibles. Other Pontiacs were also placed in the show.
